oh just make please make this basic inference / and speak of me in the present tense

1, 2, 3, 4 I declare a thumb war!

Hectic week full of felt, thread, apple pies and brownies.
And of course a heck load of butterscotch sauce I wasn't allowed to touch.
I'm sure the guests wouldn't have minded if I took a couple of spoonfuls.

Thumb war belt for the real man.
A nice way to pass time at business meetings and other important, but sometimes bothersome things.

What time is it? Oh, of course. How could I forget? I've got a fantastic watch that is quite consistent.
Ever so reliable.

The packages are all wrapped under the tree. Though some of them are quite wrinkly from many attempts to peek at the tiny holes in the wrapping.

Need to relax? Take some time to let these sounds fill you up.

1. James Morrison - The man has style. I will forever love him.

2. Local Natives - I suggest listening to Airplanes. It will change your life. Forever.

3. Mumford & Sons - They are experts at the build up.

4. Ray LaMontagne - He's swell. Quite swell indeed. And he has an excellent beard.

I've taken over the living room coffee table. I reign supreme there. Now off I go to bake some sickerdoodles and wait for the creative juices to come.

Snickerdoodles :
Cinnamon covered sugar cookies.

cause it goes on and on and on / and it goes on and on and on

Soooo, I figured since I already got most of my presents done I might as well begin wrapping them up just to be sure I'm not too backed up come December.

I decided to try to use up as much of the paper I already had inside the house and stumbled upon three packs of board with shades I just absolutely fell in love with (however only two are pictured above). I was making the envelopes out of these boards when I saw my little sister doodling away. I immediately fell in love with those little foxes on bright yellow paper as well. I actually wanted to continue packing up and making some things only to find that I had run out of FIMO and my glue stick was all sad and squishy at the end. So, until then I suppose.

Here are a couple of rings I made two days ago. All happy, painted, and ready to be given.

I'm sorely tempted to keep them for myself. Teehee.

Also, Elle (sister of awesome) snatched this photo of me earlier today. It's funny how easily life can be made with an unmade bed, comfy pillows, food (not pictured above), lots of music, and a good book.

By the way, I'm reading Red Sails to Capri - Ann Weil in this photo. Some times I wonder if I'm ever really growing up with favorites like these.
It's awesome. Pick it up and spend some time with it.
It just might change your life.

P.S. A little shout out to Becca! Cause she never fails to leave a comment, I LOVE HER, and everybody could use more love.

well my heart knows me better than i know myself / so im gonna let it do all the talking

Elle (sister of awesome) and I are preparing for an open mike this coming Saturday and we've got a couple of songs on our list:

1. Black Horse and the Cherry Tree - KT Tunstall (Aly and Aj cover)
2. New Shoes - Paolo Nutini (love of my life)
As you can obviously see it's a rather though decision. I mean, how can one decide between such a fun song and the love of their life! Talk about trials and tribulations.

But enough of that, I've officially decided that Tuesdays will become Crazy Cork Board day. I'll be posting a photo of a cork board full of pictures of things I love, want, and maybe, quite possibly, need.

1. Book of the week: My Most Excellent Year - Steve Kulger
Elle made me read this book a few moths ago and I fell in love. Like absolutely gaga over the characters. I'm saving up to get a copy and not patiently anticipating the sequel in bookstores.

2.Album/ Song of the week: Jason Mraz! The man is without a doubt one of the finest of our generation. One of the reasons I've also been thinking  about Mr. Mraz is because I've been missing a certain girl that I need to have some serious hanging out time with. Really, could the man get any cooler?

3. Movie of the week: This movie actually started out as a book! An terrific one too, I might add. But now it's becoming a movie. Ah. Making my lifelong dreams into reality. (When I say lifelong I' being sarcastic. Goodness know I haven't lived that long!)

4. Want of the week: Oh, J. Crew. Why must you taunt me so? With your petty clothing that will never grace my closet and wonderful bags that will never hang upon this shoulder.

5. Place of the Week: Bankal, Makati Vintage Shops. I've been putting all my recently earned money into a box on top of my cupboard towards a shopping spree. And I've already got a destination in mind.

6. Need of the week: Glasses. I was wiping the lenses of my glasses earlier today when my sister pointed out the rust that was beginning to make a home in them. Horrors! So here are a few pictures of vintage glasses that I found to lust over. Feel free to do the same.

talk to the sky / talk to the man with the reasons why

The week is ending and instead of finding yourself overjoyed at that prospect you find yourself singing, "Fever, fever, go away, never come back another day."
Terrible isn't it? Not that terrible. There are actual things in life that can cheer you up. Here is a list I put together of the good things that come when a fever is on the nearing horizon.
1. I didn't bother putting down "a good book" because everyone knows that it immediately means Pride & Prejudice. No one can ever have enough of Mr. Darcy. Ever.

2. Music is vital. It creates the whole mood. And considering I'm not so much for head banging with hammers inside my head I go for something waaaaay better. James Morrison and Ray LaMontagne are great examples of what I listen to (whether or not I'm sick).

3. And comfort food. These are actually things I crave for on a daily basis, but considering I only actually get them when I'm sick is why they are up here.

Now of I go to try to hunt down substitutes for comfort food. Thank goodness I actually have Mr. Darcy in paperback other wise I'd die. No joke.
